The CardioTek System
The CardioTek is a patent pending motorized robotic training device, that can be transformed into almost any cardio equipment available on the market, including treadmill, elliptical, stepper, escalator, bicycles, cross country, ARC, surf, and more.
Fully Adjustable Movement Parameters & Maximum User Adaptability
The CardioTek robotic system is highly flexible, offering the user full control of each movement path (radius, step height, incline) as well as movement parameters (speed, resistance) and workouts.
Path example: the elliptic motion allows users to determine the elliptic path.
Users can change the elliptic height, width, stride length, and slant angle of the movement.
Seamlessly Transformation between Equipment Types
The CardioTek enables the design of a training program combining a variety of activities through automatic or manual transformation between the various equipment types.
The transition takes only seconds, without forcing the trainer to step off the machine.
Once the program is set, the equipment automatically initiates the first exercise, then transforms into the next activity and smoothly on to the one after that, as ordered by the pre-set workout program.
For example:
The user has selected the following three exercises:
· Treadmill
· bicycle
· stepper
The CardioTek begins the workout session as a treadmill, adjusting itself to the pre-defined speed, incline and time.
Once time set for this session is up, the CardioTek automatically transforms into a bicycle and operates at the pre-set radius and difficulty level.
After the set time is concluded, the CardioTek transforms and sets itself up for the final exercise.
The trainer is informed of all these actions via the touch screen, but otherwise has to take no other technical action in order to adapt to the shifts.
Flexibility of Use
The CardioTek is equipped with several built-in preset programs, and the manufacturer can choose to add or remove exercise options, according to any commercial or marketing considerations.
Alternatively, GymTek can develop tailor-made equipment to suite your specific needs and market demands.
Based on sketches of new movement types, GymTek can develop a software update that enables the machine to adjust accordingly.
GymTek systems' range and flexibility allow for the design of any type of training, which can include:
* Cardio exercises where each leg performs a counter action to the other (such as: cycling, elliptical and jogging)
* Cardio exercises where both legs perform the same action (such as surfing).
* Cardio exercises in which each leg performs a different action, or has a different resistance level.
Choosing the Preferred Work Mode:
The CardioTek has two working modes:
Power Mode – work speed is derived from the force applied by the user (as with the elliptical or bicycle.)
Movement Mode – the CardioTek (using mechanic motors) maneuvers the trainer as required by the selected equipment (treadmill, elliptical, etc.).
In this method, the trainer is required to adapt to the automatic movement, as is customary on a treadmill, and has full control over training speed, strength, difficulty level etc.
Entertainment Center
A vast 22" touch screen offers a choice of exciting 3D games, a selection of television and radio channels, and iPod interface, all while maintaining full control over the equipment performance.
